About the role

christine's is an all-organic microbakery with a mission to make organically sourced cookies and pastries, sharing our love for local food producers and the planet. We also sell artisanal home wares in our retail space, sourced from local makers and friends of christine's that share similar values of sustainability.

Craft fairs are where we started, and they remain one of the most exciting, high-energy parts of our business. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented retail operations associate to take ownership of our craft fair and pop-up operations.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving on the fly, and takes pride in executing seamless, high-volume events while representing a growing bakery brand.

Responsibilities

Craft fair coordination and planning

  • Research, apply to, and manage communications with craft fair organizers
  • Track deadlines, requirements, and event logistics across multiple fairs
  • Maintain organized records of applications, approvals, and event details

Event logistics

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics across retail team members
  • Lead setup and breakdown for all craft fairs and pop-ups
  • Transport products, equipment, and supplies to and from event locations
  • Ensure all materials and inventory are prepared ahead of each event

Pop-ups and special events

  • Plan and execute additional pop-ups (e.g., corporate events, private activations)
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and operational needs

On-site retail operations

  • Run point on retail operations during events and microbakery hours
  • Manage high-volume sales with efficiency and accuracy
  • Support team members and troubleshoot issues in real time

Brand representation

  • Ensure booth setup is visually appealing and aligned with brand standards
  • Deliver a warm, engaging customer experience
  • Act as a reliable, professional face of the business at all events

Qualifications

  • Able to work 20+ hours/week and lift 50+ pounds
  • Prior retail, food service, or event experience
  • Attention to detail and great organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and effective in high-volume, fast-paced settings
  • Have a valid driver's license, and be comfortable with transporting product

Shifts needed

  • Part time (with the potential to become full-time); weekend availability required.
  • Hours will vary based on event schedule and business needs.

Compensation

  • Starting pay is at $20/hour during initial training, then will be bumped up to $22/hour, with an additional $2-4/hour from tips
